OK, I've owned it for 11 months. Built a deck, a metal roof (using it to drive every screw, and a sunroom (still in progress) It lasts forever !! At least in comparison to the nicadds. It does stay full power untill dead and i did get a 5/8ths bit stuck in a 4x6 once. BUT if you wait a minute or two, it runs again (briefly) and was enough to get the bit out. I've recharged it at lunch and i find that i get thru the whole day with that and an overnight on the charger. I have put it on the charger for a few minutes (less then 5) and gotten another 2 hours of driving 3 inch construction screws thru PT lumber.
I am not a contractor just an ambitious home handy man. So maybe these projects were done a little slower but this battery in the 1/2 in drill / driver sure seems to be the right tool set for me. I especially like the that li-on batteries keep their charge long term. I finished an hour of fixing the garage door opener last night and i hadn't charged it since last weekend - I like having a tool I can pick up and use not one I have to find, charge, then use.

Latest innovation in power tools. Lithium-Ion technology produces a longer run time, more power and better performance in extreme temperatures. It also has a low discharge rate when not in use meaning it will minimize having to charge the battery before use. The new compact Lithium-Ion battery Dual battery fuel gauge. Simply press the button on the front of the battery and the fuel gauge on the front and in the stem of the battery and the indicator will glow green, yellow and then red to indicating the amount of power remaining. The new compct lithium-Ion battery will fully charge in only 30 minutes with the use of the new and improved charger, 25926 (this battery REQUIRES the use of the new and improved charger). The new 19.2-volt compact Lithium-Ion battery will increase the performance and run time of all the Craftsman C3 tools. Some up to a 200% increase over their Ni-Cad counterpart.
